Equipment assistance.

Are there any places at all to buy equipment like armor? I'm currently in the Forest and only have the shirt and pants and no one else sells anything unless I somehow missed it and just as a second question, what all skills are there to learn aside from level up ones, it stops telling me after level 30 when i will learn anything. Currently at Booster Tower, any help is appreciated since i'm very new to this hack and all of it's extra stuff. 

Armor can still be bought at shops, just not all of them like in vanilla.

Most powerful spells in the game are learned from doing optional stuff in post-game.
