Peach's Holy so strong, it crashed my game!

Seriously though, I made it to the Doom Cake, took care of both Torte's, first chance I get, I use Peach's Holy, and right after charging is done, (Hold Y for power) the game just sat there, with Peach holding her arms up like she was trying to use the Spirit Bomb. I'm using Retroarch with a Snes9x core. should I use a different core? Or just avoid using the spell all together? I'm Playing v10, by the way.

I'm not aware of any such issue... there are a couple of explanations, and all of them are basically user error.
