In my fight, Bowyers arrow rain hits my party for almost 6k damage. Geno starts with only 1200 hp and even at level 30 my Max hp on Mario and Mallow is 2200. Am I underleveled or did I have to put points into magic defense? Has anyone gotten past him?
Do this:
When you see bowyer get blue light on him, it means he will do the Arrow rain.
So when you see him do it, put all of them into defense so they will take less damage.
Ok thanks for the suggestion. I also leveled up to about 40 lol.
So there are still people that see the massive damage and think "you know, maybe if I was 25 levels higher..."
Sorry I forgot one of the changes you guys were working on was making the defense mechanic more viable lol. Extra levels never hurt anyone though

The whole point of that fight is to force you to learn about the defense mechanic. We even buffed the damage from a few weeks ago just to make sure you'd have to be an absurd level to tank it 
But no worries. After all, defense wasn't that great in vanilla, so it's not the first thing some people will think of.
