Is there a timing for Galaxy Blast? If so, what is it?

I feel like I’m doing something wrong with it when Jump (without boots, with timing) does 1700 and Galaxy Blast does 3400.

Galaxy Blast does not have a timing.  It's simply incredibly powerful (and expensive).

You can see the magic power of spells in the Special menu.
